"Answer the f*****g question Clara"Alex Banks yelled and slammed the table.
Clara couldn't hold back her tears anymore and sobbed loudly. Alex Banks looked at her,this was his first time seeing Clara cry.
He felt a sharp pain in his chest.
"I,I don't want to do this anymore please"Clara pleaded and cried more.
"Is it because of what my mother said to you?" Alex Banks asked again. Clara wasn't telling him something.
"Did someone else threaten you?"Alex asked.
He walked closer to Clara and wiped off her tears.
Clara remembered Anna Banks words and pushed Alex's arm away.
There was a moment of silence between the two for a few minutes.
"So what if I like you,it doesn't change anything "
Clara was frustrated already.
Alex Banks held his chest and groaned in pain.
"Alex what's wrong with you?"Clara asked worriedly as she saw Alex Banks in pain.
Alex brought out a pill box and took a pill.
Clara poured Alex a glass of water and gave him.
He was sweating profusely and burning hot.
"Call Kevin now"Alex managed to speak.
Clara ran out to call Kevin.
By the time they were back, Alex Banks had already collapsed.
Kevin went over to check on him.
"Kevin what's wrong with him?"Clara asked.
"Nothing much, just a crisis"Kevin said.
The medical personnel entered the room and put Alex Banks on a stretcher and took him away.
"Come with me Clara"Kevin said.
They went to the rooftop where two helicopters were packed.
Alex Banks was put into one helicopter and was flown to the hospital.
"We're using the second chopper"Kevin said.
"Why use a chopper Kevin?"Clara asked.
"It's faster and that way the press won't be notified"Kevin said.
He helped Clara into the chopper and followed suit.
*****AT THE HOSPITAL
The hospital was a private hospital owned by Alex Banks.
After a few hours, Kevin came out of the ward.
He sat on the waiting chair beside Clara.
"How is he?"Clara asked worriedly.
"He is awake, he's asking for you."Kevin said.
"Clara, nobody including his parents know about this,so please keep it a secret "Kevin pleaded.
"Okay, you don't have to worry about it "Clara went into the hospital ward.
"So , this is what a VIP private ward looks like" Clara thought.
Alex Banks sat up on the bed when he saw Clara.
"Why didn't want tell me about your health condition before?"Clara asked.
"Would that have changed your decision?" Alex Banks smiling.
"How are you feeling now?"Clara said and sat beside his bed.
"I'm fine as long as you don't try to leave me "
"When are you going to be discharged?" Clara asked.
"I don't know,why. Do you want to leave already "
Alex Banks frowned.
"It's not that. I hate being in a hospital"Clara said.
Alex Banks held her face and kissed her lightly on her lips.
"Stop it, we're at a hospital "Clara said shying away.
"I'm kinda bored, keep me company babe"Alex Banks said trying to act cute.
Clara smiled and nudged him.
"Stop trying to act cute. Tell me what do you like " Clara said.
"No, you tell me what you like "Alex said.
"I like nothing in particular "Clara said.
"Clara, what you said earlier "Alex Banks said, he was trying to convince Clara not to break up with him.
"Forget about it,I take everything back. Just focus on your recovery"Clara said, she gave Alex a warm smile.
"What can I do to win you over?"Alex Banks asked.
Clara stayed with Alex Banks through out till evening.
She left when he had fallen asleep.
She wanted to pick a few things at home.
On her way back, she bumped into Jeremy.
"Could my day get any better?"Jeremy said and pulled Clara to a corner.
"What do you want from me?Let me go" Clara yelled as she tried to break free but Jeremy's grip was too strong.
She bit his arm hard, drawing blood from it.
Jeremy released her and looked at the spot she bit him.
Jeremy slapped Clara across the face and slammed her to the wall. Clara yelped in pain.
Her lips was bleeding and her arm was brushed by this monster.
"Do you think you can f**k with me because that son of b***h kept you by his side. He doesn't love you,he's just using you"Jeremy said.
"Don't talk about my boyfriend like that, he's not using me and he loves me and at least he's not a loser like you"Clara said. Her words provoked Jeremy deeply.
"Clara, just come back to me..." Before Jeremy could finish, Clara spat on his face.
Jeremy boiled in anger,he wiped his face and hissed wickedly.
He placed his hands on her neck and choked her.
Clara coughed and gasped for breath as she was being choked by Jeremy. She tried to push him away,but she couldn't.
Tears flowed down her eyes as she shut her eyes tightly.
Finally, Jeremy let her go and she fell to the ground gasping for breath.
"You better leave that bastard or I'll kill the both of you"Jeremy said and walked away.
Clara stayed on the floor for a few minutes before finally gaining the strength to get up.
She dusted her clothes and dragged her feet home.

Clara got home and Avi wasn't there.
Phew, she gave a sigh of relief,if Avi was here right now, she would freak out.
Clara looked into the mirror, her face was swollen and her neck was bruised.
Clara climbed on the bed and lay down starring at the ceiling.
Jeremy had almost killed her,there was no way she could hide it from Alex Banks.
She pitied Jeremy, he wouldn't like what would come for him.
****"AT JEREMY'S PLACE.
Jeremy got home and slammed on the chair and laughed.
Vivian looked at him laughing,"Did anything good happen," She asked.
"Of course, I found the b***h that fired me and I thought her a lesson"Jeremy said laughing maniacally.
"That's very good, she needs to be thought a lesson,that good for nothing slut. Now that you don't have a job, how will we take care of the baby"Vivian asked.
"Don't worry my love,I'm gonna make sure I get money from Clara. She's dating the multi billionaire and he completely dotes on her.
If I threatened to kill him, I'm sure she'll definitely show up with money "Jeremy said.
"Just you wait Clara, I'll make you regret what you did to me "Jeremy said.

Clara looked out the window, she couldn't sleep at all and now it was two in the morning.
The rain poured heavily.
What Jeremy did kept recurring in her head, he threatened to kill Alex Banks.
Clara opened the cupboard and took out a pill box.
It was sleeping pills, she always take them in situations like this.
She swallowed the pills and climbed her bed.
After a few minutes, she fell asleep.
******THE NEXT MORNING
The doctor had just finished checking up on him.
He was going to be discharged the me day.
Kevin walked in and saw Alex Banks gloomy face.
"Where did she go?"Alex Banks asked."She went home to grab something"Kevin said.
"Do you need anything?"Kevin asked.
"I don't need anything so get out"Alex Banks said.
Kevin felt disheartened,
"You shouldn't speak to him like that"Clara said as she walked in.
Kevin's face lit up,at least someone spoke up for him.
"Good morning, Clara. How was your night?"Kevin asked.
"Get out of her now"Alex Banks said coldly. how dare him play coy with his girlfriend.
Alex Banks saw the smile on his face and frowned.
" How dare you smile at my girl? Do you want to get fired" Alex Banks threatened.
"No sir,I apologize" Kevin said with a hint of sarcasm.
Alex Banks looked at Clara and noticed she was wearing a scarf around her neck which was unusual.
"What's up with the scarf, remove it. It doesn't look good on you "Alex Banks said.
"I think it looks great on me"Clara said, she was standing at a distance.
"Come and sit beside me " Alex Banks said.
Clara walked forward and sat down on the bed.
"What happened to your face?"Alex Banks asked as he ran his fingers through her hair.
"Nothing,I just had a bad night"Clara said.
Alex took off her scarf and saw the mark on her neck. It clearly showed that she was assaulted.
"Don't lie to me, Clara. Tell me who did this"Alex Banks asked again.
"It's nothing serious, don't bother at all"Clara said.
"Babe, tell me the truth. Who did this to you?"
"it was Jeremy" Clara replied.
Alex Banks scoffed,"How dare that bastard lay his filthy hands on you? What should I do to him?"
"What do you mean?"Clara asked.
"He hurt you so should I cut off his arm or should I just kill him off"Alex Banks asked.
Clara couldn't imagine any of those things. Would Alex Banks be brutal enough to kill Jeremy.
"Don't think about it too much, I'll take care of Jeremy, don't worry ", Alex Banks said.
"Okay "Clara was not quite sure what he meant by take care of Jeremy.
"Baby,I want you to come home with me" Alex Banks said.
"Why, I'd prefer to stay with Avi "Clara said.
"So you'd choose your friend over your own boyfriend"Alex Banks looked at Clara jealousy.
Clara remembered the swimming pool incident and shivers ran down her spine. She wasn't sure she could stay in Alex's mansion since the culprit hadn't been caught yet.
"If you'd rather stay with Avi,then fine. Stay with her " Alex said with a hint of jealousy in his tone. He got off the bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up. Clara picked out his clothes and lay it on the bed.
Beep beep, she received a message in her phone. She picked it up and read it, she wrote a note for Alex Banks and hurriedly left the hospital.

Alex Banks came out of the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist, hoping to show off his abs to Clara. His expression changed when he saw Kevin.
"Your clothes "Kevin said pointing to the clothes arranged on the bed.
"What are you doing here, where's Clara?" Alex Banks asked picking up the clothes on the bed.
"She left to take care of something, she also left you a note " Kevin said and gave the note to him.
Alex Banks glanced through the note and tossed it into the bin.
"Is running her errands more important than me" Alex muttered.
"Has the CCTV footage been restored?"Alex Banks asked with a cold expression. Kevin cleared his throat,"Yes sir"
"Weren't you going to tell me if I hadn't asked" Alex Banks said coldly.
