I'm sorry sir" Kevin apologized. "I didn't want to disturb you" he added and gave the laptop to Alex. Alex watched the footage clearly.
"It was Zen , the head bodyguard. He pushed Clara into the water" Kevin explained quickly.
"Send some guys to take him in for interrogation" Alex said and closed the laptop.
"Well,he ran away" Kevin said and took few steps backward.
"What do you he ran away? Can't you watch just one guy" Alex Banks screamed in anger.
"Our men are already searching for him. He'll be caught in no time." Kevin said.
"Once you find him, bring him to me" Alex Banks said and left the room.

Clara walked down the dark alley. She kept on looking back suspecting that someone was stalking her. Clara feeling uneasy, quickened her footsteps.
She took out her phone from her bag to call Avi.
Suddenly, someone hit the back of her head with a bat. She staggered and turned to see who the person was,but before she could do anything she fell and passed out.

Clara slowly opened her eyes and looked around,her vision blurry.
"Where am I?"Clara said weakly as she sat up on the bed.
"You're in your room, Clara" Avi said and sat beside her. She wiped the tears falling off her eyes.
"Avi"Clara called out crying loudly.
"Don't cry girl, you're fine okay. It was nothing serious just a minor incident" Avi said.
"It was not an accident ,Avi"
"What do you mean, was it an attack. Who could've attacked you?"Avi asked so many questions.
Alex Banks walking into the room and Avi quickly got up from the bed and left the room.
Alex Banks sat on the chair close to the bed and held Clara's hand.
"Are you okay?" Alex asked, looked at Clara worriedly.
"I'm fine, you don't have to worry" Clara said.
"Who did this to you?" Alex Banks asked stroking her face gently.
"The person was wearing a hood and a mask so I couldn't see his face" She said. Clara pulled out of his embrace and sat up properly. She didn't know what to think anymore, since she met Alex Banks she had been attacked twice. She had a suspect in mind, Jeremy. He had been too quiet this past few days.
"I'm sorry, Clara. I should've been there with....."
"You can't keep saying sorry every time something happens. I don't know if I could do this anymore" She said sobbing loudly. Alex tried to hug her but she pushed him away.
"I think you guys should break up" Avi chipped in, she was seated quietly in the corner with a bag of chips in her hand.
Alex Banks gave her a warning glare,
"Don't look at me like that, I'm only worried about the safety of my friend. Somebody who knows you is attacking her and you don't even know who he is. She was pushed into a pool and know this" Avi said raising her voice.
"Do you even love her, she doesn't want this relationship so stop forcing her" Avi said standing up to Alex. She was ready to fight for her friend no matter what it was.
Kevin knocked on the door and walked in breaking the tension between them.
"They found Zen" Kevin announced.
"Where is he?" Alex Banks asked.
"He's dead. He was killed before our men got to him"
Clara shook in fear as she heard that someone was killed.
"Who's Zen and who killed him " Avi asked.
"Zen worked for me as a bodyguard. He was the one who pushed her into the pool " Alex said and his face fell to the ground. He didn't know if he could face Clara right now, she was attacked by one of his men so how was he going to protect her.
"Why was he killed?"Clara asked.
"Why was he killed?"Clara asked.
If he was killed then she wasn't safe either. She couldn't trust Alex anymore.
"He was silenced by the person who paid him to push you" Kevin explained calmly.
"If he was killed, who attacked Clara a while ago" Avi asked, she was trying to put the scattered puzzle pieces in her head together.
"It was Jeremy who attacked you, I've sent the police to arrest him so you don't have to worry" Kevin said and left the room. Avi quickly followed behind him.
Alex squatted beside the worried Clara,
"Babe,do you trust me. I need you to trust me, I'll find whoever is behind this. I promise you"
He kissed her lips and hugged her.
"You should go home now, it's getting really late" Clara said.
"I'll stay with you tonight, I'll watch you sleep " Alex insisted.
"You were just discharged from the hospital today, you need to rest and take care of yourself. Don't worry about me " Clara said.
Alex reluctantly agreed and left after kissing her goodbye.

Avi walked into Clara's room with a bowl of porridge. She dropped the porridge on the table and sat on the couch.
"Why did you have to prepare this?" Clara grumbled, she didn't like porridge.
"You'll have to finish it , it'll help you recover fast and I'm going to sit here to watch you till you finish that bowl of porridge" Avi said looking all serious.
Clara frowned as she forced the porridge into her mouth. Finally, She finished the porridge.
"That's a good girl" Avi said and rubbed her head.
"Clara,..I don't think you should trust Alex Banks that much" Avi added.
"What are you saying Avi" Clara asked.
"I just don't want you to get hurt okay. You need to be really careful,this is just a deal between the two of you. He may want your body and not your heart....."
"He likes me Avi and I know it. I get the fact that you're concerned about me but I can make my own decisions" Clara defended.
"Okay, have it your way Clara" Avi said and left the room.

Kevin drove into an old warehouse and stepped on the brakes. He came down and opened the door for Alex Banks.
Alex came down and walked into the warehouse with two men .
Jeremy was tied to an electric chair,he was held in chains. His face was swollen and blood dripped out from the corner of his mouth. He looked at the figure approaching him and shook vigorously.
"Who are you and what do you want from me?"Jeremy shouted angrily. Alex Banks stepped out of the shadows and stood in front of him.
"You,why did you bring me here? Let me go or I'll call the police" Jeremy said.
Alex Banks smirked,"You're going to call the police,how are you going to do that?" He mocked.
"Please, just let me go" Jeremy pleaded.
"I'm not going to kill you, just tell me why you attacking my girlfriend" Alex Banks said,his face lit up with a cunning smile.
"I'm so sorry, It wasn't on my own free will. Someone paid me to do it" Jeremy explained.
"Who paid you?" Alex Banks asked.
"I don't know who it was?"
"Do you think I'm joking here, you don't know who paid you. You better stop lying to me if you want to leave this place alive " Alex threatened.
"I swear I'm not lying to you. I got a call from the person and he gave the order. He sent somebody to deliver the money to me, the person was wearing a mask so I couldn't tell who it was" Jeremy explained.Alex Banks walked out of the warehouse and rested his back on the car. He took out a cigarette and lit it.
"Take him to a safe house till you find whoever is behind this. Make sure nothing happens to him, we'll finish him off once this is over" Alex Banks said and puffed out smoke.
"We'll take care of it boss" Kevin said and leaned his back against the car.
"Care for a smoke" Alex Banks said , handing a cigarette to him.
"No,thank you. I quit smoking a long time ago, how about we go for a drink" Kevin suggested.
"You want to have a drink with your boss,can you hold you liquor?" Alex Banks said with a mocking tone.
"I have a high tolerance for alcohol, it's you who should be worried" Kevin teased and got into the car.

Clara got out of bed and stretched lazily. She walked downstairs in her pink pyjamas. She walked to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, she took a bottle of water and closed it. She saw a note on the refrigerator and she picked it,
"I already left for
work ,so make
breakfast yourself "
Clara frowned as she read the note,
"She knows that I am supposed to rest after my accident last night and she can't even make me a simple breakfast before leaving " Clara said to herself and kicked the fridge in anger.
Ding Dong, the door bell rang. Clara walked to the door and opened it.
Vivian stormed into the house as soon as the door was open. Clara looked surprised,
"What are you doing here?" Clara asked with a frown on her face.
"Where's Jeremy, Clara. What did you do to him,did you ask your rich boyfriend to get rid of him" Vivian shouted at the top of her voice.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Vivian " Clara replied in a confused state.
"I haven't heard from him since yesterday night,I tried calling him but his phone was off. I know he came to see you last night,so tell me what you did to him you evil wench"
"I don't know where he is, he attacked me and ran off. How am I supposed to know about his whereabouts. Please leave my house right now " Clara said and held the door open for her to leave.
"I'll call the police if you don't tell me where he is " Vivian threatened.
"I don't care, you can call whoever it is that you want to call. Just get the f**k out of my house " Clara said. She pulled her out and shut the door.
She headed to the kitchen and made herself a bowl of cereal. She finished eating and headed upstairs. She was stopped halfway up to stairs by the door bell sound. She checked the peephole and saw that it was Alex Banks,then she opened the door.
"Good morning baby?" Alex Banks greeted with a wide smile on his face and kisses her on the cheeks. He was wearing casual clothes which made him look really handsome.
"What are you doing here, Aren't you supposed to be at work?" Clara said.
" Aren't you happy that I came to see you?" Alex Banks said and hugged her tightly.
"What did you do to Jeremy?" Clara asked abruptly.
"I didn't do anything to him " Alex Banks lied.
"Are you sure, Alex " Clara asked.
"Clara,I need you to love and trust me. I didn't do anything to him,so if he's missing it isn't my fault " Alex Banks said.
"Babe,do you love me?" Alex Banks asked.
"Why are you asking me that right now?" Clara asked.
" Babe, I don't want you to just see me as your boyfriend. I want you to love me " Alex Banks said
