This is definitely different

-Draven’s POV- I didn’t think it would be this hard to get my little human mate to forgive me for being a rude asshole to her. I did regret what I had done and I did want to get to know her more. But she seemed to have a wall up around herself which prevented me from getting close to her like Abel and Caine were. I wished she’d let me get to know her but she wouldn’t let me and I hated it. It made my heart begin to crack in pain because I know I need her in my life. As we had spent the day together I noticed how she acted, how she laughed and how she seemed to have so much fun just window shopping. It was like Niamh didn’t need any money to keep herself happy and the fact of the matter was was that was something refreshing for me to see. I found myself silent and in complete awe of her. I felt eyes on me and slowly I looked over to see Caine and Abel watching me with small knowing looks and I immediately replied with my middle finger before I continued to walk. “Caine! Look at what I found!” Niamh suddenly exclaimed which caused all three of us to look over and, in the window of one of the stores, was a male mannequin wearing the same shirt that Caine was. I snickered softly before I said, “You’re being a copy cat.” before I dodged his left fist. Caine shook his head before he looked at Niamh and he said, “I pull it off better.” It still surprised me at how easy it was for him to speak now. It was as if Niamh was this magical healer that could get anyone to do anything she wanted. But it was like she didn’t know this. The longer I was in her presence, the longer I realized just how much she was perfect for my family, for me, because each time she stopped it would be to point out something for one of the others. It was surprising, and it was also super sweet. I moved over to her side and I said, “How come you’re so sweet… if you don’t mind me asking...” I needed to know and I certainly hoped like hell that she would begin to let me in. Niamh stopped moving just for a moment before she snorted faintly before she said, “Because it’s better to be sweet then fake and if someone doesn’t like who I am or how I am they can hit the reverse and leave my life because I don’t need nor want that type of thing in my life.” I blinked because that answer made complete sense coming from her. I hummed faintly before I said, “I like that.” Niamh shrugged before she said, “I didn’t say it to make you like it Draven.” Hearing my name slip from her lips made me swell to half mast with arousal and I had to move in such a way that I could adjust myself without her or the twins noticing me so do. After I made sure that I was adjusted and no one would see it I looked back at her and I said, “I know you didn’t tell me to make me like it. I also know that you’re not the type who needs anyone elses approval and I find that rather amazing. I know a few people who need approval from others to be happy and I truly like the fact that you’re not like others.” I truly just wanted to get her to let me in. She merely gave me a smile and all it seemed to do for me was make my arousal spike even more. All I could do was pray like hell that she didn’t see such the effect that she had on me and how easy it was for me to get aroused because of her. Finally the four of us continued to walk throughout the mall and I kept learning more about my mate and it only made me happier then a pig in mud. At the end of the day we wound up dropping Niamh off at her place and, once more, she surprised me by giving Abel and Caine kisses on their cheeks. What surprised me more then that, however, was the kiss she placed on my cheek which spiked some major heat in my face from where her lips had just been. I didn’t know what I had said, or done, to warrant a kiss on the cheek but whatever I had done was a blessing in disguise for me. After that Caine, Abel, and myself headed to our own home and once there I moved to go to the library. I was still doing research to try and figure out what, exactly, Niamh was. I kept hitting dead ends and it was beginning to annoy the hell out of me. I hated that I couldn’t figure this out, I hated that her heritage was blocked from me. The least that I could do, however, was keep trying to spend time with her.
