Chapter 8Overly excited at the prospect of things to come, with my book bag flung over my shoulder, I literally took off down the outside steps of the school at a skip. I was on a mission. Part one of that mission was to locate CJ again. I knew an angel, now, too. Valmont. What I didn’t know was how to summon him, so a ghost with untapped powers would have to do. The autumnal landscape called to me, so I headed in that direction, once back on the road. It was as good a place to look for CJ as any. I didn’t skip all the way, or maybe I did.
