Chapter 3There were times when Eden lived up to its namesake and as Chad stood on the bluff outside his family home, the village of Eden spread out before him in its entirety like a brightly coated world where civilization melded with the surrounding bloom of nature. He took a deep breath and then let it out, a mix of disbelief and relief settling over him. He’d missed this land, he’d missed the open sky and the fresh air. Life in the big city was oftentimes confining, suffocating, so to now allow himself the freedom to extend his arms upward and feel the wind brush past him was almost like taking flight.
