29 “I got him covered,” Foley said to Sam. “Check on the girl.” He kicked the dropped rifle away from the body, and stared down at Williams. Sam holstered his weapon, and hurried to where Miranda lay in the fetal position on the ground, sobbing loudly. He knelt next to her, and touched her shoulder. “Miranda, right?” he asked.
