Regaining her composure, she set about psyching herself up for the next push. Suddenly, she tensed. Something from above touched her hair, and ruffled it ever so slightly. She felt herself beginning to panic and slapped at the top of her head. She lifted her head as far as she was able to, and stared into the blackness above. A low, mournful moan escaped her lips. She was going to let go. She could go no further. Her body had had enough. Her mind had had enough. She could not do this anymore. She closed her eyes tightly, but was unable to stop the tears escaping and running down her cheeks. Then she felt it. It came from above. Air! A tiny, gentle, feather soft wisp of air brushed against her closed eyelids. Then, another. Mandy snapped her eyes open, and peered intently into the darknes
