Re-assigned from the well where the bodies were located, Sergeant Wayne Donaldson and his Task Force members picked Terry Potts up from Wauchope, refueled, and headed for the area where they believed the helicopter carrying Foley and Rose had come down.
The Lenco BearCat slowed, and stopped. Sergeant Potts alighted from the passenger side of the vehicle, and walked around to the driver’s side. He raised a pair of high powered binoculars to his eyes, and focused on the speeding vehicle, racing away to the east.
Donaldson wound down the driver’s side window. “Do you want to go after him?”
“No,” Potts answered. “I don’t know who that is, but we need to get to the chopper. We don’t know if it crashed, or the pilot chose to land for some reason. We have been unable to reach them by radio
