I left George in the visiting area and headed towards Rachel´s bed. She was comfortably sleeping, the monitors hooked and the IV dripping medicine to keep her comfortable. I have no idea how I am going to break the news to her. She was happily oblivious about being pregnant, and now I have to break it down to her, and also break down the fact that they had to operate it to save her.
She starts steering in her sleep, and I know she is about to come back. I took her hand and patted it softly. Her beautiful sky blue eyes flutter open and confusion is written all over her face. “Jase, what happened?” Her soft raspy voice is music to my ears.
