I hadn’t been to Galaxy Hotel in days, but when I returned, the place was bustling with chatter. Rebecca was, as always, in the center of attention, basking in compliments.
“Wow, Rebecca, you look so beautiful today. Are you going on a date with Christopher?” one of the girls teased.
Rebecca gave a coy smile, flicking her hair like she was in a shampoo commercial. “No, don’t talk nonsense.”
“Oh, you’re blushing! You must be dating Christopher. You’ve been AWOL for the past few days. If not Christopher, who else could it be?”
