Lina's POV
"Lina."
My body froze at the familiar voice. I turned to see Jasper standing at the glass door, Sophie clinging possessively to his arm.
Jasper's eyes were slightly red, a cold fury swirling in their depths that I couldn't quite decipher.
Sophie shot me a challenging look while tightening her grip on Jasper's hand.
"What a coincidence, Lina," Sophie said smoothly, her voice dripping with false warmth. "Luna Elena mentioned she'd arranged a blind date for you. So it's with Alpha Hayes! You've certainly lucked out. He's the future leader of the Hayes Pack, just returned from studying abroad—quite the eligible bachelor."
Matthew looked up at Sophie. "You flatter me, Miss Laurent."
