Smith's eyes were bloodshot. He seemed unnaturally excited and aggressive, like someone who'd taken drugs.
I noticed something was wrong with him from the beginning. He was probably drugged without realizing it. Someone wanted him to lose control, to commit crimes.
Because they wanted him to accidentally kill me.
When I saw Adrian put down his phone, remove his jacket, and begin to bend his knees, I stared in shocked disbelief!
I couldn't bear to watch Adrian humiliate himself for me.
I struggled and shook my head. "Mmph! Mmph!" I tried desperately to speak through the tape covering my mouth.
Jasper glared at Smith with fierce eyes. "Smith! If you harm her in any way, I swear, even if you flee to the ends of the earth, I'll make you beg for death!"
