Damien’s POV-
I hated leaving Scarlett, especially after everything that happened. But I was also so very concerned about the coronation. As part of her ascension to the throne, the people are permitted to challenge her for the throne. Though I highly doubt anyone would, seeing as everyone has seen her power. Many fear how strong she is, but respect the fact that she has only ever used her power as a means to help people and not control nor punish them. That is what earned her the love of her people. Even though she has the love of her people, I still worry one might be foolish enough to challenge her. Especially greed demons, many of them have desire for more power. They are prehensile for more power.
Birsha gripped my hand tighter. I assume that he was sensing my concern and turmoil.
