Feeling all the emotions that Scarlett was going through when she asked about the war, really upset me and Damien. Not because we were meant to be here on a date, but because she was hurting and there was no way we could make her feel better. Yeah, we can distract her with sweet moments, cute gestures, and, of course, love-making. But we can’t change that we are in a war, and that it will only end once the werewolves have been stopped once and for all. I knew she was probably thinking that she could stop them once and for all. We could not let her do that. We are still learning just how powerful she is, which means if we let her stop them now, we could lose her.
