Draven’s POV-
Lilah had been anxiously waiting to hear from Queen Scarlett. It is a long shot at best. But I could tell she was still very hopeful. I have been playing to try and distract her for the rest of the day. We were just on our way back from the lake. We enjoyed a picnic, the setting sun, and a swim together. It was a nice end to the day. Now, we were lying on the shoreline of the lake, looking up at the sky, star-gazing. Though I found myself staring at my mate, more than the stars.
Lilah giggled, her cheeks flushing, “You really shouldn’t keep staring at me like that, you don’t know where things will end up.”
I chuckled, rolling on to my side, running my hand up and down her arm. “Oh, I think I know exactly where it will end us.”
“I know. We should probably head back home
