I could hear the speech my father was giving to our people. I knew Damien and Birsha were both there. I tried to ignore their emotions and focused on controlling mine, so that I didn’t worry about them. I knew if I started panicking, they would come to find me. That is how powerful our pull is towards each other. While we were in this room alone, my father explained to me everything that would happen, and I was able to remind him that I would only ever choose Damien and Birsha as my mates.
