Night had finally fallen, and it was time for us to meet in the throne room for my father’s funeral to begin. We would start there, a few words would be said, before procession down to the fire pits of hell. There is one specifically used for the burning of our dead, and one specifically for the royal family to use. All my predecessors were laid to rest there.
Demon funerals are different. Much like the human Viking boat funerals of sending a ship out to sea and setting it aflame. Demon funerals were similar. The body of a demon would be laid on a wooden boat, and the family of the demon would use their powers to levitate the boat out into the middle of the designated fire pit, where it would catch alight and burn to ashes almost immediately.
