I was awoken by a loud knock on the door to our quarters. Damien groaned, threw on some clothes and went to answer it, leaving Birsha and me in bed. Hushed voices and giggles made me sit up in bed. I wondered what the hell was going on. Damien came back into our room a few moments later, rubbing the back of his head. I chuckled, “What is wrong?”
“Well, it seems lunch is here, and Bune was informed by the council of our plans for last night and why we were not to be disturbed. So, Bune cooked us an overly nutritious meal and prepared tea that is meant to help with conceiving a child. My mother is also moving into her bedroom here in the palace, so that she can be close.” Damien sighed, leaning against the door, rubbing his face.
