Ember’s POV-
Everyone moved to the banquet hall. My parents came over to Cyrus and me. As everyone had quietened down so that they could listen to instructions for moving into the banquet hall, Mum was able to settle Blade back down. He was now fast asleep in my mother’s arms.
“Congratulations, baby girl. I am happy for you,” Dad said, pulling me into his embrace, away from the tight grip of Cyrus.
Cyrus didn’t want to let me go. I understood. I think everyone could. Dad grabbed Cyrus and pulled him in for a hug. He stepped back, and smiled, “Look after her.”
“Always,” Cyrus replied.
“Are you sure you want to stay with us at home, Ember? Your mother told me what you said,” Dad asked, meeting my eyes.
“We think it is for the best. We spoke about it. Didn’t we, Cyrus?” I responded.
