Chapter 15The sub-basement hummed with the sounds of the equipment functioning to keep the pod alive. Screens showed readouts of various measures. Tee looked at her hands after she finished her story.
It was…disturbing. Frightening. Between her story and the one Bri had shared, along with the video, about the figure in the airlock, it suggested something worse than he’d seen before.
“Did cameras in the basement capture any of this?”
Tee looked up, eyes flashing. “No. But it happened like I told you.”
He spread his hands, palms out. “I’m not disputing it. Bri showed me the airlock video. I wondered if you had something like it.”
Tee quirked her lips. “Sorry. It just all sounds crazy. If one of the girls had told me the same thing, I don’t know if I’d believe it. Before, I mean.”
