Before they left, Bri came over where he’d been sitting at the bar with MAR-A. “Thank you for coming. Both of you.”
“You’re welcome,” Jules said. “We’ll stay up for a while longer.”
“I don’t sleep,” MAR-A said.
Jules said, “I’ll stay up a while longer.”
Bri tried to smile at both of them, not very convincingly, and then went to rejoin the rest of her family as they walked over to the ramp leading up. Sara and Bri on each side of Mel, Tee right behind, the family gathering around the youngest member.
