Chapter 28Jules stood in front of the storage cabinets. Eighteen in total, the surface of the wall and the doors was gleaming steel. MAR-A finished its inspection of the room and crossed to join him.
MAR-A gestured at the doors. “Are you looking inside?”
“Yes.” Jules inhaled deeply and let the breath out. His other sight wasn’t picking up anything in the area.
He opened the door in front of him, swinging it out. An empty tray lay inside the rectangular space. He shut the door and glanced at MAR-A.
With a nod, he indicated the doors on that side of the space. “You check those. I’ll look at the rest.”
“Okay.” MAR-A reached out for the door next to the one that Jules had opened.
