I started my warrior training that day, and Connor had me stay with Devin the whole day. He said that he wanted me to learn from the best. Devin just had me sit on the sidelines and watch him as he trained the new warriors.
After about thirty minutes, I got bored and got up to leave. When Devin saw me, he said, “Where are you going?”
Jared: “I believe Adolphus himself wanted me to get trained. That is not happening, so I’m just going to leave.”
Connor stood in front of me and said, “You think you’re a hotshot because you’re the future alpha, don’t you?”
Jared: “Yes. Because I am. I am your future leader, so you have to be careful about how you treat me. If you don’t want to train me, I’m sure there are others who are more qualified than you.”
Connor could only snigger
