KARA and I headed to the restaurant. We went to the same restaurant we went to on our first date. I didn’t mention anything about the wolves. I’m not sure if Kara or her family heard the growling. She hasn’t said anything, so I’m assuming she didn’t. Maybe she was a heavy sleeper.
We had a pleasant meal, and Kara was pleased with the flowers I gave her. We were sharing dessert when Kara said, “Did you hear the wolves last night?”
I looked at Kara and said, “Yeah. Juanita and Dennis and the workers at Shane’s shop also heard them.” I was going to deny hearing them, but there’s no point in lying. Almost everyone in town I’ve talked to heard them already.
