Sadie
I know I shouldn’t have done it. I shouldn’t have kissed Devon, yet I don’t regret it. Because, in the moment, I really wanted to kiss her. I may not know exactly why, but sometimes, the why comes after. The reason is still buried beneath the instinct to just do it. And I wanted to do it. The moment was right. The vibe was a touch sultry. The air was full of possibility. Or maybe I just read it wrong. It sure seemed to surprise Devon when I touched my lips to hers. And yes, she’s a woman, but she’s also Devon.
Instead of walking home to Sam’s house I make a detour via his bar. God knows what he’s doing at the house with the woman who texted him, anyway.
