CHAPTER 18 Devon I couldn’t say no to Sadie’s invitation to come to the house. I wanted to surf to clear my head, and it helped, but only to a certain extent. Undressing in front of Sadie hasn’t exactly helped my mindfulness about pretty much everything. But as long as she’s here, for the following two months, I’m just going to have to go through whatever this thing is that I’m going through with her. Maybe the time has finally come to process all my emotions, to put it behind me once and for all, because, clearly, I haven’t yet. But that’s okay. The past catches up with us all the time. Then we deal with it.
