Sam joins me on the deck. He gives me a bottle of water. “Don’t forget to rehydrate.” He smirks at me as though he thinks he already knows everything.
We let a silence fall, although it’s never really silent when you live this close to the ocean and its soothing roar.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he asks.
If not with my twin brother, then with whom? “I’ve asked her out on a date.”
