CHAPTER 34 Devon The waves are kicking my a*s tonight. There’s a strong wind from the east and I can barely stay upright on my board. But I need to surf. I need to give my body this distraction. Ever since my impromptu chat with Sam, thoughts of Sadie have been spiraling out of control again in my head. So much so that, on a couple of occasions, when getting out of the water, I’ve had to stop myself from going to the beach house and knocking on her door. I meant it when I told Sam that things might become easier once Sadie leaves town. When I no longer have to be aware of her being so close, yet unreachable to me.
