Chapter 15. raising hands

1227 Words
Andrea had woken up feeling that her body was free, any kind of stress was gone, it only remained for her to feel complete. Hunter had gotten up first to run and make breakfast. She was surprised at the ease with which the man woke up after last night's chore. —I can sleep during the day— he said smugly, that made her wonder what he did for a living, apart from the social networks where he uploaded his art? She could be a model, she told herself, she had the looks to star in a lingerie calendar if she wanted to and with the material she had between her legs, women would pay in droves. Time flew by in the office, she hadn't even realized what time it was if it wasn't for her colleagues inviting her to lunch to celebrate the change in her contract. The rumors about how the boss had a preference had flown, attracting good comments and envy. —Can we talk?— questioned the i***t Chris, very close to her. Andrea was startled by how close the man was. She hadn't heard his footsteps approaching, by instinct she put a hand on her chest, holding back the scream she was about to let out and thought about Hunter's words about him coming the night before to look for her at her house. —I don't think we have anything to talk about— she exclaimed, pulling away. Chris held her by her arm, pinning her in place. He exerted so much outside that she couldn't refuse. The co-workers had moved forward until they were left alone, it was the first time the girl felt she might be in danger. Seeing her so close did nothing but make Chris feel furious, he didn't understand how she could be out there smiling, she had been unfaithful to him clearly being with the muscular guy from yesterday, she had humiliated him and now she dared to laugh as if it was nothing, he wanted to take away her smile, he wanted to beat her until her face was nothing but an amorphous mass, but it wasn't possible to do it in the office, he had to do it somewhere else. —Please— he begged, holding back his rage. —Please? You've been sending me all kinds of abusive, lewd and mean messages. I don't understand what you're trying to do, but going to my house was too much— the b***h knew then, Chris thought, it was probably her idea for the slacker to come to the door to see him. —I lost control, you know how much I love you and you just dismissed me as if I was nothing— the man tried to justify himself. —You abandoned me in the middle of a robbery, isn't that discarding someone? Did it offend you that I didn't beg for your attention? —Andrea was on the verge of collapse because of the annoyance she felt. She didn't understand how that man could continue defending himself when he was obviously guilty of everything that happened to her. —Me? If you planned everything with that boy, do you think he didn't tell me? NOW SLEEP AT HOME! It's obvious that you were cheating on me with him and you set up the whole robbery scenario to make me look like a coward, but I discovered your theater b***h, I'll tell everyone— the little sanity that accompanied Chris was about to disappear, he couldn't believe how that woman dared to even look at him, his mother had taught him that women should be submissive and feel grateful that a man like him would notice her. —Planning it? What are you talking about?— Andrea struggled with his shoulder to get him to back away -I met Hunter that night, he stayed with me and supported me ever since, we became friends because of your COBARDY and if you want to tell everyone we can do it, but you have to know that I won't keep quiet- the last was a threat. Chris knew the b***h would run to tell everyone lies, just like his girlfriend had done at graduation when she took what belonged to him, he had paid for the limo, her dress and the hotel, but she wanted to "wait". He had been so hurt that the b***h used him, so he took it. Would he have to do the same with this woman? Because he didn't want to submit to her will, he was convinced she would do her best to ruin his life. How dare he? Furious as he was, without thinking it over, he raised his hand to hit her in the face, when he was stopped. —What are you doing, Mr. Anderson?— Harley's voice echoed down the hallway, immobilizing them both, Andrea had been terribly frightened, her face had turned pale and her body was paralyzed. As soon as she realized she was safe she took two steps back. —No, it's not what he thinks— stammered Chris, cursing the b***h inside, she had forced him to lose his sanity and now his boss would think things wrong. —She looked like she was about to hit Miss Smith— Harley's low menacing tone made it all a little creepier. —No, it's not a misunderstanding, because she and I are boyfriend and girlfriend— the Alpha was getting more and more furious, he couldn't understand how such an inferior animal believed he could get out of this. He had to control his inner wolf not to tear her throat apart with his claw in a second. —No, we are— Andrea confirmed in a low tone, almost choked by the fear she felt. Everything in his body was asking him to smash that i***t's face, he wanted to make him feel unimaginable pain, even devour his pieces, but as a rational man he had to control himself, he was the CEO of an important company and hundreds of people depended on his fragile sanity. —He squeezed her arm until he heard almost the sound of bones crunching, he didn't want to break her hand, although he longed to— accompany me to my office, we have something to discuss and this will be mentioned. It was obvious what would happen. —Yes sir— Chris walked in feeling his world was crashing down on him, he would be fired no doubt for trying to hit that stupid woman. He bit his fingernails on his way to those walls, there was no point in talking about it in the hallway, when they were alone, he would explain man to man what that woman had done to him, he would understand, he would teach that b***h a lesson. Harley walked in Andrea's direction, he didn't dare raise his hand to comfort her with some physical contact, because he feared that any move would only make things worse, that look of terror on her face had made his heart stop, he realized that he longed to be next to her. —Go to the infirmary and take the rest of the day off, I'll take care of that i***t— was all he could say to her without worrying her.
