Chapter 10. First encounter with wolf

1200 Words
The feeling of familiarity was present in that room. Andrea had jumped on the couch, extending her legs to put them on the small table in front of her. Hunter had been waiting for the opportunity to spend time with her. He ventured to her side. The television was turned on and the Netflix sign appeared on the screen. A knowing look was given by the werewolf to the girl next to him, she just gave a small smile and put on the screen a new series "Vicenzo" that could be read on the screen. —Vicenzo? — he asked, confused. —Yes, Vicenzo Cassano, he is a lawyer of the Italian mafia, he travels to Korea to reconnect with his origins and ends up in the middle of a war with an evil transnational— answered Andrea excitedly, seeing that expression made him happy. She seemed relaxed and young. —Yes, that's what you want to see, that's what we'll do— they both settled down to eat wanted the pizza was finished in a jiffy. Hunter had politely taken it to the dishwasher, but the series did not stop calling the attention of both. They ended up absorbed watching how the Italian/Korean flirted with Miss Woosang Firm's buffet lawyer. I didn't know at what point she had laid her head on her legs to watch the series better, they were both talking about the characters and having a fun time. When I was about to comment to her something about how wonderful the main character was, I realized that she had fallen fast asleep. The peace and naturalness that she produced made my heart beat against my chest. Hunter thought about how adorable it would be when he came home after a long day. She saw that special smile, she hugged him and made his heart feel at home. —You are beautiful, my moon— he whispered, stroking her hair. I loved the little details, how the wrinkles in her eyes would form when she had something on her mind, her nose would get small as if she wanted to sneeze and then relax, I bit my lip thinking about it hesitantly, then thinking about resting her, I ventured to lift her in my arms to carry her to bed, she seemed to be calm, she even moaned a little when we got to bed. I felt like a stalker watching her sleep, I had even tucked her in. Seeing the absurdity of it all, I went to the living room to clean up the mess we had made, we had even cooked some popcorn and soda, figuring she would want order, I started to make it. It was then when I saw his cell phone on the table, I hesitated whether to see it or not, but a message lit up the screen calling my attention, it was about his ex "Here I am, out of your house, get out now", I was annoyed by the way he had addressed her, the confident way he thought he could talk to her. —She's not alone— I exclaimed to myself, Hunter. Knowing that I would regret it, I went in to watch the conversation. It turned out that Andrea was so transparent that she had no password for the cell phone. I liked that. She was very transparent, but that i***t. He was a few meters away, certainly did not know the limits, he had more than a hundred messages a day, he followed her everywhere and commented on creepy things. "You look beautiful today. I like that white t-shirt." "Will you really eat that? It looks too greasy for you, you should take care of yourself." "Why did you leave early? Are you going to meet someone?" There were pictures of them at different times with creepy phrases like that. I felt disgusted just going through the conversation. I couldn't imagine what she had experienced. It felt like he was watching her all the time, plus the phrases had gone from a nice mood to a threatening one. If I kept writing to her, it was obvious that nasty guy would only make things worse, being around her. What should I do? I pondered for a second, then the knocking on the door got louder. My inner wolf said to jump on him, rip his throat out and give it to my girl. I could prove to him that I could protect her from anything that happened to her. I took off my shirt, sure that it would bother him like a bastard that I was without it. I opened the door facing the half-man in front of me. He looked smaller than the last time I had seen him, he had on a black jacket of something like Corduroy and I thought it was crazy that someone would wear that old fashioned. —Yes?— Hunter questioned in a masculine voice. The man took a step back, worried that he had the wrong house, but he looked at the number again, sure that he had got the address right. Why was this man there? He wondered, then understanding guided his steps, making him feel annoyed, as if the blood in his veins had begun to boil. —Who are you? What are you doing here?— The explanation he was hoping to get, did not come because Hunter remained silent, looking up and down, trying not to tear him apart. —Don't you remember me?— the werewolf ducked his head in the direction of the man whose legs seemed to want to weaken —we saw each other that night, when you ran out and let Andrea get robbed— the man's cheeks got hot immediately after that mention. After running for a couple of blocks in the direction of his house, he pondered if what he had done was the right thing to do. After all, he had done everything to protect the woman before. In the office with those vultures, could she protect him in the street? Evidently yes, he said to himself. Once at home, he thought about whether he should call her or not, but his mother had scolded him, "a woman like that is not worth the risk". He had agreed with his progenitor, until he realized the way they all approached her. It seemed that the office had turned against him for abandoning her, making him look like an i***t. Her boss Mr. Harley, was doing nothing but favoring her. He had made her sign a new contract and had given her more medical benefits than any other employee in town. No doubt that little b***h must be up to something and he would find out, expose her if necessary, he just wanted her to answer his messages and now there was the i***t who had made him look bad, in front of him. —I didn't know you were friends— anger was building, he couldn't believe she had planned the whole thing, to make him look bad. —We weren't, we became friends that night, thanks to you— that condescending tone annoyed the guy.
