Chapter 78. I Hope for your sake

1582 Words
They both lay in bed for a long time, they had no idea what kind of weather it was like out there. Andrea laid her head on the werewolf's chest, their breaths were combining, they were one, after that day of passion. They were each immersed in their own thoughts, busy thinking about the future that awaited them as soon as they walked out of those doors, a reality they didn't want to face yet. So focused on each other, they were oblivious to the noises near them. The werewolves had finished patrolling and were heading back to the cabin to take a break, but neither seemed to notice the other, until it was too late, when they were only two meters from the door, they realized they were too late. Hunter used his body so that no one could see his girl's body. The werewolves opened the wooden door and were shocked. They were looking at the body of the alpha who was leading them lying on the bed, the smell in the cabin was of s*x, they could smell it, even if they couldn't see it. —Sorry, we're sorry sir— one of them blurted out in defence, they didn't want him to get angry. —We're sorry to have interrupted you— the door closed almost immediately with them, leaving them outside the cabin. Andrea stood closer to her beloved man's chest. As soon as they entered everything in Hunter's body was telling him that he had to protect his woman, his wolf was very protective of the woman, but now that they were close I wanted her to merge with my body, it was a crazy thing. —They're gone now love, can you let go now— Andrea tried to get him to let go. The younger werewolf was sorry that someone else could know the curves of his body, making him feel more nervous. —Yes, I'm sorry— As soon as his arms left hers, he felt the tension in his body was very high. —Quiet boy, but we have to move now, because they already know we are in the huts— she tried to move away from the bed, a feeling of loneliness appeared in her heart, taking her hand and clinging to her, to kiss him, but the woman stayed still in her place for a moment. At the last moment she came forward to kiss him sweetly on the cheek. —If I kiss you now, we'll relive what we've done and we'll never leave the house— as soon as she said it, Andrea's cheeks lit up, she felt so hot next to a man like him, she had to make a lot of effort not to look at him sideways and remember what they had been doing. —Never?— Hunter commented hoarsely, she threw a pillow at him. The wolf inside the man, asked him to keep warming the woman's body, but his good head told him that he had to follow the path and take her to see the lake, at least that part he had to do it correctly, because he had used his instincts to put them over, he had to use his head more rationally even if he was close to her. Hunter Halland proceeded to reach for his clothes, as soon as he started to pull his trousers up his legs, he could tell that Andrea was looking at him sideways, that made the urge increase, he prepared to walk away looking for the keys he had left on the table when they came in to leave, when they were both ready, they started to tidy up the bed without saying anything, but it was obvious what they were thinking. —You don't have to be embarrassed, the pack knows you're my life mate, my moon— the werewolf pointed out trying to get her to relax a little. —But I think they also did it with the fact that we still had to do a ceremony, in the same way that if you consecrated yourself as alpha, we had to do it with our relationship, not just announce it. He liked his mate's sharp tongue, she was incisive and quick to tell the truth to his face, a quality that was admired by werewolves of all kinds who needed someone who could ground them even when they were being completely stubborn about it. When they left the cabin there was still daylight left in the forest. —You're right, we must have a ceremony, but once it happens it's worse than human marriage, you have to be absolutely sure that you want to spend the rest of your life by my side, because you belong to me and I belong to you, I will give my body to you— the werewolf commented seriously. They both shared an electric look. —I'm committed to you Hunter, I know it won't always seem that way, but I am— that made her heart fill with joy, she felt like things were finally falling completely into place. In the warm glow of dusk, the last rays of sunlight filtered through the tall trees of the forest, tinting the horizon with shades of gold and orange. A small wooden hut, with vines climbing up its walls, stood in the clearing. From there, a woman with golden hair and sparkling eyes emerged, her earth-toned dress billowing softly in the breeze. At her side walked a man of majestic bearing, a werewolf with dark fur and amber eyes that reflected the calm and tenderness he felt towards the woman at his side. The wind rustled through the trees, carrying with it the fresh scent of the forest and the subtle aroma of the nearby lake. Their hands brushed occasionally, and their gazes met with a mixture of nervousness and joy. They had shared their feelings in the intimacy of the cabin, recognising the deep connection they had formed despite their differences. The werewolf felt vulnerable in showing his true form and his human emotions, but he trusted that the woman understood his dual nature. As they walked along the dirt path that meandered through the forest, the ground was covered with fallen leaves, creating a soft, natural carpet. The murmur of a nearby stream joined the chorus of birds that dismissed the day. As they approached the lake, the golden glow of the sunset began to reflect off the surface of the water, creating golden sparkles that seemed to dance in the breeze. Finally, they reached the edge of the lake, whose calm waters reflected the sky in soft shades of pink and purple. They paused there, sharing a moment of silence as they absorbed the serene beauty of their surroundings. The werewolf looked at the woman with an expression of deep affection and gratitude, as she returned his gaze with a shy but sincere smile. —It is beautiful— the woman murmured, her voice barely a whisper that mingled with the rustle of the wind through the trees. —Yes, it is— the werewolf replied, his voice husky but full of emotion —And even more beautiful to share it with you. She nodded, her eyes bright with excitement. They took a seat on a nearby rock, their shoulders rubbing comfortably and closely together. Their hands found their way to each other, intertwining their fingers in a gesture that conveyed the deep connection they had forged. As the sun slowly dipped below the horizon and the stars began to peek out of the sky, the woman and the werewolf shared laughter, stories and dreams. The lake and the forest were witness to their love, a union that transcended differences and proved that the heart can find its way even in the most unexpected places. And so, under the soft embrace of the night, they continued to share their complicity as the evening lights merged with the glow of the moon and the stars. —Do you really want to become that kind of man— Andrea asked the air —Do you want to be the one to lead the werewolves? It seems like a big burden for you, and I thought you wanted to run away with me to get as far away as possible. Hunter stood quietly pondering what words he should use to explain. —An alpha's duty is to his people, they are willing to die for us, the least we should do is extend them the same courtesy. Andrea understood that it was a completely different world, the man would not agree with her. —It doesn't have to be like this, if you don't want to— the human commented, putting her hand on the werewolf's cheek who seemed confused by this new attitude —I see every day that it seems you are going to explode in your own skin, as if you feel you are not doing enough already, so I wonder what will happen when you capture George? What will happen to you when the baby is born? Will you even be able to see him— those doubts haunted her mind for days. —I'll have time for you— he stretched out his arms to catch her between them, holding her close to his chest. —I hope for your sake it is so— she commented a little menacingly.
