My thoughts were instantly scrambled as I looked at Me Richard in absolute shock.
“Ohh,” Grandma gasped at my curse, but I shot her a ‘shocked’ glare. She definitely knew what was going on but still cared about me being ladylike.
Mr Richard only smiled, “I know it comes as a shock but I truly want you to be my honorary daughter. A true Parker with no strings attached.”
I was in a daze for a while before I finally found my sense of speech. “Why?”
“Just chalk it up as me making retributions for my sins.” Mr Richard said calmly, as if he wasn't asking me to be a Parker and ‘trust’ in his care…
“No, I would rather you just left me and my grandmother alone. We will do well without you Parkers meddling in our lives.” I said after some hesitation. The allure to say yes was great
