Mira's POV
Everything was ready as I had cleaned the remnant blood that came from removing my UV drip. After a few moments, i was even more sure of leaving this place before Luke came and finding somewhere to just try and reset my life.
But as I reached the door, it opened and Luke walked in. My heart fell, fast. He just stared at me indifferently before walking in and closing the door.
“Where were you going?” He asked as if he hadn't just destroyed my image. I could barely speak due to the white hot anger that tossed and turned in my heart.
I stared up at his cold face, those black eyes that once held my gaze, now so repulsive that I wondered just what they hid. “I'm leaving. Permanently. I saw the news and I know I'm definitely not welcome here.”
