Luke's POV
I could feel my bones weigh down on me after the flight, first class or not, I really didn't like business trips… but like all other things I had grown to shut up and accept it. No one cared to see a grown man whining.
I scanned the VIP exit, looking for a particular figure that I hadn't been able to put off from my mind for the past few days. A feeling of disappointment clouded my heart as I checked my watch – 1:00pm.
Where was she?
“What's wrong?” Chloe came up beside me, her face concerned. I looked at her, feeling a bit better with her there… why can't Mira not be more like her sister? Why wasn't she here?
I pulled out my phone to check if she left any messages but saw none, my heart sinking a bit deeper. We'd agreed to talk, so why wasn't she here?
