Luke's POV
The nurse was trembling Infront of me but Mira's limp body in my arms made my rage pour out. The silence that descended from Mira and the blubbering nonsense the nurse was stammering about just made me see red.
If she wasn't a woman, i would have kicked her away. The fruit peels still everywhere and on Mira's dress. The purple gown that once made her look like a fallen angel, now in tatters. My breath seized in anger.
Taking up my phone, I dialed Ethan's number. Where the hell was he? Wasn't he meant to be here, taking care of Mira while I was unable to?
