Every opening of the door felt like Luke was about to poke his head through, but sincerely I felt nothing more than the raging fury that still smoldered in my chest.
Bringing Grandma to this city to suffer was something I would never forgive, even if he thought it was for my sake. The nurse came in again, this time the sound woke up the sleeping Grace who finally had some shut-eye.
I sighed as the nurse checked Grandma's reading, after the sudden attack an hour or so ago, the nurses have been coming to check frequently. The nurse finished checking Grandma, then she turned to me with a plain expression, head slightly bowed.
