I had just finished chewing out Ethan for butting in between Mira and I when a call entered; it wasn't from my phone but his.
He raised a brow, face impassive as he waited for me to give him the go ahead to pick the call. I sighed as I waved my hand and moved to the door, I needed some air. But then Ethan's gruff voice made me stop.
“Hmm, what is Mira doing in the station?”
It was just a question meant for whoever he was talking to, but It woke every cell in my body as I stomped right back to Ethan and grabbed the phone from him.
For issues regarding Mira, I already knew who he was talking to. It was no other than Miller, a security detail I told to watch Mira's every move, from a safe distance of course.
