LOST LOVE

IS IT THE END?

It was evening when Manik reached Nandini’s house. He rang the bell no. of times but there was no reply. He thought to go by the window and so turned but just then the door opened.

There stood in front of manik a man in his mid 50′s. 

Man: yes. Who are you?

Manik: Hello actually i wanted to meet Nandini. 

Man: Nandini. Oh but you are late she went. 

Manik: She went? But where?

Kaka: No idea. She and Aryaman both came back home in a hurry packed their bags and went away giving me the keys of this place.

Manik: They must have told you something? Where they are going? Why are they going?

Kaka: No they just told me to take care of myself and this house. 

Manik: Thank you uncle 

Kaka: Ok son.

The man went inside the house and Manik sat on a bench in the garden crying on his fate. Just then his phone rang 

Manik composed his sobbs and recieved the call 

Manik: Yes cabir?

Cabir: Manik are you crying? Is everything ok? You met Nandini/?

Manik: No it’s just- 

Cabir: Manik you know you can’t lie to me. Nandini is really angry right but i know she’ll listen to you just keep on trying.

Manik: She won’t listen Cabir. Never. 

Cabir: Manik why are you thinking like that. She will. She loves you 

Manik: Cabir she left 

Cabir: left? But where? I think she must needs some time alone. You wait for her there. She needs some space too.

Manik: no Cabir she left me forever. She and aryaman went somewhere with everything and i have no idea where to find her. I-

Cabir: bro you relax. We’re coming there.

AFTER SOME TIME

Fab 4 along with Navya reached at Nandini’s house but before they could rang the bell Mukti stopped them

Mukti: Cabir. Manik is there at the garden

Fab 4 and Navya went towards Manik and Cabir kept his hand on his buddie’s shoulder

Cabir: bro.

Manik turned and hugged Cabir sobbing in his best friend’s arms.

Manik: She left me . Cabir i couldn’t even tell her that i love her 

Cabir: bro you need to calm down. We’ll find them 

Mukti: Manik control yourself. You are not weak. You are Manik Malhotra 

Manik: Mukti. But i can’t. I am the player Manik. She won’t come back.

Dhruv: Manik did she said that she’ll never come back in your life? 

Manik nodded in a no

Alya: Did she tell youu that you can’t find her? 

Manik again nodded in a no 

Navya: Then you should go and find her. You have to make her trust and believe you. This is what true love is Manik 

Manik: do you really feel so? 

Cabir: Now stop this melodrama. Let’s go and check at her home. Somebody must know something. 

Manik: No Cabir even that servant knows nothing.

Cabir: Have you read Sherlock Holmes? 

Manik: You are remembering books now? 

Cabir: yes. i***t we’ll definitely find something in her room.

Fab 5 and Navya rang the bell and uncle again opened the gate 

Kaka: You all? And Manik you are still here?

Navya: Uncle can we check nandini’s room once? Please it’s important. 

Kaka: Yes Navya you can. Come in.

They went to Nandini’s room. Manik was the first one to enter and his heart skipped a beat. Her smell was till there in her room. Her fragrance. It was as if she was just there present in the room

Cabir: Manik , Let’s search we have to find her

Manik: Yes Cabir and i will. Guys lets check

All: yess

Manik: Did anybody find anything?

Navya: No this place has nothing to even get us a hint.

Mukti Alya and Dhruv: Nothing here. 

Cabir: See guys there must be something. 

Alya: Manik this cupboard is jammed. Please help me. 

Manik: wait let me see

Manik pulled the door of the cupboard and the view made his heart wrench his pain. All of their pictures fell on the floor with some cards and letters. Each letter had Nandini’s feelings for Manik. What she thought about him and of course I LOVE YOU CARDS.

Mukti: what the-

Alya: oh god 

Manik: She loved with me her whole heart. I am sorry Nandini i am so sorry 

Dhruv: Manik it’s Princi’s text he is asking where we are.

Manik: hmmm. Guys you leave you need to perform.

Cabir: but manik what about you? If we don’t have both our lead singers then-

Manik: i just need to be alone for sometime with her memories... 

Cabir: Fine just take care of yourself.

Manik: i will

Fab 4 and Navya left And manik cried with Nandini’s letters and cards by his side. He read them all over again and again. Even the letters showed her emotions which had all the tear marks visible on it

AFTER AN HOUR OR SO

Manik woke up with his cell buzzing continuously 

Manik: yes Cabir 

Cabir: i know manik it’s not the correct time but principal is asking for you and you have to be here even nandini is not here. Are you coming? 

Manik: yes i am

Manik reached the college and entered princi’s office 

Princi: where were you Manik? It’s almost time. 

Manik: sorry sir

Princi: sorry my foot. Please tell me about your performance.

Manik: sir actually-

Princi: that is what i am saying what about your performance. Aryaman and Nandini have left the college so what about the fest finale tonight 

Manik: sir i... I can’t

And manik walked out of the office 

Dhruv: sir we’ll make him understand.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

cabir: Manik. Manik wait

Manik: no Cabir. I wont do that it does not mean anything to me without her. 

Mukti: but Manik won’t you do it for her. 

Navya: Manik this fest is very special for Nandini. She told me how her parents wanted to see her grow in music.

Alya: And you can’t let her dream down.

Cabir: speak up Manik 

Dhruv: bro yes or no. we don’t have time.

Manik: guys 

All: yes? 

Manik: get ready in 15 mins. Lets do this for Nandini

All: FOR NANDINI

AFTER 15 MINS ON THE STAGE

Cabir: guys ready 

Dhruv: we are ready but where is Manik?

They came up on stage and the crowed cheered for manik. But he was no where to be seen. Woah wait there comes he from the centre of the crowd on to the stage with his guitar

Manik started his song remembering his and Nandini’s memories . His eyes are blood shot red as he had cried a lot and is full of anger but this time instead of someone else the anger he has is on himself.

On the other hand at the airport in the waiting room 

Arya: Nanz are you alright?

Nandini: yess. But its just that this place hold so many memories. It was supposed to be special. My dream.

Arya: That is. Some positive and some-

Nandini: now lets talk about it. I want to move on

Arya: Nanz lets go the boarding in for the flight has started

All the words he spoke to Nandini came in his mind. And he regreted those sick words he spoke for his love.

Nandini excused herself from Arya and went to the washroom. 

Nandini: why manik? why can’t i get your out of my mind? But no i will forget you. I wont let you rule my mind anymore. Just LEAVE me .. i hate you.

Cabir moved forward and kept his hand on manik shoulder and he continued...

Nandini cried in the washroom just then her cell buzzed with Arya’s message

Arya: come fast the flight is announced

Nandini moved out but not before throwing her cell phone simcard away

Arya: You done? 

Nandini: yess. Left all the negative vibes behind. Now just come fast or we’ll miss the flight

Manik stopped abruptly and it felt to him as if his life is moving away from him but those voices from the crowd made him back in the real world

Nandini looked out of the window of the plane just then Arya came and sat beside her

Arya: Nanz are you sure we should leave? 

Nandini: yes. And i won’t back out. (in mind) good bye MR. M MALHOTRA i hope to never see you again

Waqt ne hai kiya humpe kaisa sitam,

Tum bhi bezaar ho barbaad hain hum.

Manik left the stage with tears flowing from his eyes and here nandini’s flight left the airport....

WOULD MANAN BE BACK AGAIN OR THEIR STORY WOULD BE LEFT INCOMPLETE. IS IT THEIR BROKEN STORY OR WILL MANIK BE ABLE TO FIND HIS LOST LOVE .
