LOST LOVE

AM I DRUNK?

Both Manik and Nandini were standing facing the bar counter with a tray of 15 vodka shots in front of both of them. And on the either side of them stood their friends. Navya with Nandini and ofcourse our well known Fab 4 with their bestie Manik.

Nandini was hell nervous after looking at the tray because she knew that she can’t manage more than 10 shots at all and if she drinks them then she couldn’t handle herself and by watching Manik’s face she knew its not going to be so easy. And also her predictions were correct Manik was smirking to himself thinking about Nandini’s expressions because 15 shots were just normal for him. Navya understood the situation and took nandini to one side.

Navya: Nandini i don’t think it’s a good ide, lets leave from here. You don’t have to do this. 

Nandini: I can;t backout from it here Navya. I have to do it 

Navya: Nandini from how much i have known you. I know that you are scared about it as well. I think we should just leave from here. We’ll see them later.

Nandini: i can’t let them win Navya. It’s all about our girl’s pride right now. And i can do it. You just relax 

Navya: You sure? 

Nandini: 100% sure. Let’s go to them or else that Monster will start thinking that i got scared.

After their talks Nandini and Navya came back to the bar counter where fab 5 was waiting for them especially manik

Manik: so miss murthy are you scared?

Nandini: never. Lets start 

Manik: Think about it Miss Murthy. It’s not your cup of tea 

Nandini: if it isn’t then i’ll make it 

Manik: so much confidence. Or i should rather say over confidence. 

Nandini: If your stupid interview is over, so can we start mr. Manik malhotra 

Manik: as you say miss

Now the real challenge has begun nandini gulped one and made a face because it was so sour. And manik was just standing holding his first glass and here Fab 4 was so shocked to see manik doing this 

Mukti: is he mad? Does he wanna loose?

Alya: no he cant do this 

Dhruv: girls shut up and watch 

Cabir: relax guys. you just wait and watch.

Nandini wasn’t looking at manik at all she was thinking that she might loose so she increased her speed but manik was going slow. Nandini was on her 12th and manik was only on 5th when first Nandini drank the whole tray and manik was only on 7th. Now Nandini was not at all in her senses and Manik was smirking

Nandini in her slurry voice: see i told you ggiirrrr...lls can do that

Manik: ya i got it 

Navya was trying her best to control her friend and here fab 4 was busy laughing watching nandu’s antics. Nandini kept her one foot forward and was about to fall just then manik catched her on time..

Navya: Thanks manik. I’ll take her back home. Amms must be waiting for her. 

Manik: Navya i have a suggestion if you don’t mind.

Navya was looking at manik confusingly 

manik: actually is it fine if i leave her at home in my car. It will be much safer. Cabir will drop you. If that is fine with you?

Cabir: ya why not 

Navya: but 

Nandini: No one talks when the monster is talking. Got it. Or else he will eat you. ALIVE.

Everyone were controlling their laughter but manik was forcing a smile

Manik: I don’t think you will be able to handle her. let me drop her home.

Navya: Okay fine. Drop her same and home. 

Manik: You just relax. I am not that bad

Looking towards Nandini. Shoule we leave now?

Nandini: byeeee.. Everyone ... Bye navvu

Everyone: bye nandini

Manik and Nandini were moving towards the parking lot Manik was thinking... 

Getting nandini drunk had been a pretty bad idea. But it was too late actually to do anything about it. That girl made his blood pressure rise in her sober state. In her drunken state she was literally driving him crazy. Her childish behaviour annoyed the hell out of him. Why couldn’t she behave in a more mature manner?

Nandini was struggling to walk straight and the way she kept on giggling wasn’t helping either. Manik was irritated beyond expression.

Can’t you just shut up and walk?′ he asked his arms around nandini’s shoulders as he gave her support, while walking her to his car. 

Nandini found it even more funnier on being reprimanded and burst out laughing. A stern glance from manik made her place her finger on her lip and say Shhh’ while pouting childishly. She stiffled her giggles her dark hair falling gently over her face.

It was thundering outside and the lightening was brightening the sky outside.

Its going to rain mr. Monster ′ she told him. 

Thanks for the weather forecast’ he said forcing a brief smile in her direction.

Nandini suddenly poked his dimple and said, I love dimples.′ She inched closer to him and whispered, Especially on you’ 

Manik felt a shiver run through his spine at her close proximity. But he shook his head and told himself.

Focus manik just get this i***t to the car and be done with it’ Yeah that’s what he was going to do. But nandini was in no mood to shut up. In fact she spoke lengths during the entire slow and pains taking journey up to her room.

Why are you so flirty all the time. You know all the girls keep oogling at you all the time she said scolding him her little finger poking his chest. 

Manik swivelled her round to stop her nonsense but she kind of lost balance landed on him unsteadily. But he steadied both of them in time before they fell to the ground.

W.H.Y C.A.N’.T Y.O.U J.U.S.T S.H.U.T U.P?′ he said emphasizing ever word.

Nandini giggled and said, Cause you’re being mean to me’ she stuck her tongue out at him. They reached to the car and manik somehow made her sit on the passengers seat

All the way to the malhotra mansion nandini kept blabbering and irritating manik on reaching the mansion manik took her inside the house and all the servents stood gawking at nandini’s condition but Manik’s one stern look made them shut..

Manik took Nandini to his room as he didn’t wanted to face Neyonika at this moment of time 

Entering manik’s room

Nandini: Your room’s quite nice Mr. Monster 

Manik: Thank you and please stop calling me that 

Nandini: what?

Manik: MONSTER 

Nandini: (in childish way) Now you are a monster. what can i do? 

Manik: What did i even do? 

Nandini: you ... you first me ...... Accident

Manik: what?

But before Nandini could speak further she fell unconsious in manik’s arms and he told his servents to make her wear any of his clothes.

After changing her clothes the maid opened the door and manik entered the room. He glanced at the sleeping Nandini. Grabbed himself a tee and tracks and went to the bathroom 

After coming out from the bathroom he went near nandini

Manik to himself: You are so cute Nandini but only when you are sleeping. When you are awake it’s like a walking nightmare.

With this Manik went to the sofa and slept on it.
