Chapter Thirteen

As we walked down the stairs, Ryan remembered something from his bedroom and went back up to get it. I leaned against the wall at the bottom of the stairs and waited for him.

'Jack, What are you talking about, I didn't get any message' Was that Daisy? I crept over to the doorway, which leads to the kitchen. Peeking around, I saw Jack and Daisy. s**t!

'What are you talking about. Yes, I did'.

'No, you didn't, look' There was silence. Oh no, Oh no, Oh no!

'That's weird, I defiantly sent it'.

'Hey, what you doing?' I quickly turned around and ''shhhh''ed Ryan. He walked over and looked into the kitchen. When I did, They were both looking at there phones.

'Great, Im up the creek without a f*****g paddle'. I whispered out loud and went to sit on the stairs.

'Whats wrong?' He came and sat next to me and put his arm over my shoulder.

'I did something really bad' I could hear Jack and Daisy talking in the kitchen quietly. 'Something I really shouldn't have done'.

'Well, What did you do?'

'In the airport... I had Daisy's phone, and Jack messaged her..and... I read it'. I looked up at Ryan, but he seemed to be listening to me, so, I carried on. 'It said something that really upset me... and, I was angry, so, I deleted it. Now Jack is talking to Daisy about the text, and now, Im going to get caught out, but, I love him, and she convinced me that he loves me too, and how could they do that an-'

'Wow, wow, Calm down'. I let out a long breath and sighed. 'Now... What did the text say?'

'He loved her'. My voice broke at the end and a tear rolled down my face. Ryan pulled me to his body and started rubbing my arm, as he ''shhhh''ed me.

'Don't get upset about it, it might have been a mistake.' I just shook my head.

'He said they had been emailing and stuff, its no mistake' He just tightened his arm around me, but I pulled away. 'I'm sorry, you don't even know me, and I'm unloading my crap on you like this. Im so sorry'.

'Don't be stupid, You're one of Jack's best friends, there-for, one of mine, And the other guys feel the same way.' I smiled at him as He wiped my tears away with his thumb. His face was so close to mine, I could feel his breath on my lips. It wasn't like he was going to kiss me, he was just so close.

'Jack's crazy if he picks another girl over you' I felt myself blush.

'Thanks Ryan'.

'Awww, Is Amanda blushing' He pinched my cheeks playfully which made me laugh.

'Whats going on out here?' We quickly looked up and saw Jack and Daisy stood there. Jacks didn't look happy.

'Nothing, We're just having a chat' Ryan explained.

'About what?'

'None of your business Daisy!' I snapped. Though, In all fairness, It wasn't her business. 'Ryan, Will you show me that thing now?' He smiled.

'Sure, Come on'. He stood up and held his hand out for me, I took it and jumped up before he pulled me back up the stairs, leaving the other two to do whatever the heck they wanted...
