Elena’s POV The hallway seemed quiet as I walked back to my room, yet Lucas’s words stayed with me. “I’ll always be watching, ready to defend you.” A chill ran down my spine. I couldn’t tell if it was meant to be comforting or unsettling, but either way, it was strange. Shaking off the thought, I decided to continue my exploration of the pack house. There was an area I hadn’t been to yet, tucked away down a narrow, dimly lit corridor. I had heard whispers from the other pack members—something about an old archive room. It sounded intriguing. I walked down the hallway, my curiosity building. Just as I turned the corner, a familiar figure stepped into view. It was Chloe, Oliver’s sister. She hadn’t noticed me, but her intense gaze was locked on something hidden at the end of the hallway.
