AAHIL The day begins with an agonizing slowness. Everything is hazy and dark even though it’s a bright summer’s day. The stark blue sky looks sad as it looks down upon me and even though Amal’s Dad and I weren’t too close, I feel. I can feel something painful twisting my heart and it feels too much like sadness, like the emotion I make sure stays deep within my existence.
