Monika was waiting for Gabriel's reply but he didn't say a word to her. She broke the hug and passed him a smile. He looked at her and caressed her hair like a best friend, then kissed her forehead.
"You can choose him if he makes you happy," He said. Monika shook her head and took his hand in her hands.
"Your happiness matters to me, Gabriel. I will reject him as soon as he gets conscious"
"You don't need to" He uttered.
"Huh?" she looks at him in bewilderment.
"I--I mean to say I'm happy you are going to reject him for me," Gabriel lied and closed his eyes in guilt, realising this was not what he wanted to say.
"Is everything okay?" she asked, noticing how anxious he was while talking to her.
"No" He answered and shook his head and then took a deep breath to talk
