Mallory watched Ryan, wand at the ready. He seemed to move along the tunnel very slowly. She wanted to tell him to hurry up and tell him not to go so fast for fear of what he might stumble into. She leaned forward when he reached the end, holding her breath as she waited to see what would happen.
