“Have you forgotten what it was like to face one chameleon viper?” Mallory looked at each of them. “How could we face ten, or even fifteen?”
“We’ll be expecting them this time. We should be able to take them out from a distance.” Ryan draped an arm around Mallory’s shoulders. “We’ve got this. We’re also a higher character level this time.”
“I’d kind of forgotten that.” Her worries eased and she smiled up at him. “You’re right. We’ve got this.”
Danae came out of the farmhouse, striding towards them. “The health tea is steeping and he gave me better directions to the chameleon viper nest. Are we ready to go?”
“Hell yeah. I want to find fifteen chameleon vipers.” Brodie looked from Danae to the farmhouse. “We don’t need to wait for the tea?”
