Road Trip Part 2 - Chapter 7

Caroline and my mom walked out of the station with at least six bags each. My mom handed each of us pups in the SUV with her and dad and then a bag for them. Mine had my soda and water plus snacks. My snacks consist of a lunchable with Swiss cheese, ham and crackers, then my favorite peringles sour cream and onion. It's my go to chip when I'm feeling down. Mom just knows their pups. It is a mother's intuition. Also, mother wolves are always connected to their young until they are mated and marked.

"Thanks mamma, I love you." I said as I started eating my chips. Emmett was now seated with me in the way back of the SUV, and because Caroline was still worried about Lindsey, she made her switch with Raven.

"Hello big sis." I said as Raven took the spot that was meant for Lindsey. "Hi." That was all she said before she put her headphones on, and just sat there looking out the window.

I linked Raven, "It's going to be okay you know, you do know that, right? It's just a couple of months before it's confirmed that you are Adams' mate, right?" She turned around so quickly that I thought she was going to have whiplash.

"What?" Raven asked through the link. "Visions remember." I linked her back. "Ya, but what about his girlfriend?" She asked through the link.

"I did not know that he had a girlfriend," I responded.

"Lilly, can I still link Adam even though we are not close together?" I asked Lilly through our link. "Yes, you just have to concentrate on who you want to talk to." Lilly tells me.

I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and focused on Adam, "Adam, can you hear me?" I attempted to link him. "Avia is that you?" Adam asked.

"Yes, and I'm going to just say this once, so do not make me repeat myself. Is that understood?" I linked, then I waited for a response from him, "Yes, I understand, what is it that, you want to tell me?" Adam finally responded after a moment. "YOU HURT MY SISTER AND I WILL END YOU!" I growled through the link. He whimpered in his response ,"What? How would I hurt your sister?" I focused on both Adam and his wolf, Evan, and said "Evan, please tell me your human is not that stupid?" I heard a deeper version of Adams voice "Raven you i***t. How many times do I have to tell you that I am positive that she is our mate?" Adams voice comes through the link with shock as he asks, "Avia, are you telling me that Raven is my mate?"

"As long as you make the right choices," I said, then cut the link. I opened my eyes and looked at Raven. She's looking at me like she's waiting for me to tell her that she is wrong about Adam.

"Hey Lilly, I know that we can also see how everyone is anchored to either their family or a mate bond. Is there a way for me to open their bonds up in a way now?" I asked.

"Yes, grab Emmett's hand, it will help keep you grounded." Lilly tells me.

"Em, I need your help for just a second, it's to help Raven and Adam." I told Emmett as I took ahold of his arm.

I closed my eyes and focused on the different chains, the red connecting us all to the pack, the blue connecting each to their family line, and the light pink, that would go darker once the bond was fully connected.

"Lilly, What do I do now?" I asked as I stared at all the strings in front of me. "Grab it, but you need to make sure that it has turned a bright pink before letting go. Also, it's going to get hot, so be prepared for a small burn." Lilly responds. "Okay,"

I grabbed it, and watched as the light pink started to get brighter, and the burning Lilly warned me about had started to burn. It started as a slit burn, and now my hand has smoke coming from it. But I refused to let go, the chain was almost done. Someone started to shake me, but they can wait, it's almost all pink. "Okay let it go, it's bright pink now." Lilly said. I had not even realized that I had closed my eyes. I open my eyes, but have to close them again because it's too bright.

"Ah, was it supposed to go that bright?" I asked Lilly, "it depends on the mate bond and if they loved each other before the bond was fully connected once they became of age. "So Raven and Adam are already in love with each other and don't even know it. Is that what are you telling me?" I asked Lilly. "Yes" was all she said before retreating to the back of my mind.

I let go of the connection and I'm met by my dad shaking me, "Daddy can you stop shaking me now?" I asked once my eyes started to fully adjust to the light of the sun coming into the SUV.

"WHAT in moon goddess were you doing?" My dad somewhat shouted at me.

"Ah." Was all i could get out before mom said "Bata Matthew is pulling in behind us now, I still can't believe we don't have a first aid kit in here."

"Why do we need a first aid kit? And if Bata Matthew just pulled up you will see what i was doing in just a few seconds." I said. Raven is the first to ask, "What did you do?" Just as Bata, Matthew handed my dad the first aid kit. My dad grabs the hand i had used when making Raven and Adams bond fully connect. "Oh, sh*t it actually burned my hand." I said, as i looked at it while my dad bandaged it up. "Octavia, what burned your hand, all Emmett said is you had asked to use some of his strength, then about a minute later your hand was literally burning but you were in some kind of trance and nobody could wake you up." My dad asks, as he finishes the bandages on my hand. Before i can get a word out Raven is being pulled from the SUV, when someone growls "MINE".

"That, I forced the bond to speed up, by using my moon magic. That was the first and probably the only time I'd done that, because that freaking hurt." I said. "Also, Raven, when we get to school, ask for early release." Raven gave me a small nod, and Adam said, "Thanks Avia, for what ever you did, just thank you." Adam walk Raven back to the other SUV and Lindsey got out and ran to our SUV, yelling "Hurry up before she has a chance to change her mind, I love my mother, but good goddess she know how to push those buttons in people."

"Okay, we only have an hour to go." Dad said as he was getting to the SUV.

I look at Emmett and ask him, "Can i explain everything later? I'm tired after that. Is that okay with you?"

"Of course, sleep sis." Emmett said as he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close to him. I lend my head on his shoulder and cuddled up with my big brother, like we used to do when we were little.
