Time to leave-Chapter 5

Everyone is quiet. The only noise in the kitchen right now is my mom moving around, making what seemed to be sandwiches. Bata Matthew just keeps opening and closing his mouth, as if he can't figure out what to say. He finally got some of his words together to ask, "You say your the great granddaughter of the moon goddess. My question is, why are you the only one that has powers then. Aren't you all her grandchildren then?"

"Okay, I see where you are coming from, but I'm the eighth daughter of goddess eighth generation great granddaughter, just as the moon goddess was the eighth god that came into her power." I tried to explain, "Okay, I don't know if you all know this or not, but all the gods and goddesses, started as humans with power, they did not become gods until they died in their human life. The first one to rise as a god was Thor, god of thunder and lighting. Then his brother Arthur then reborn as the god of the seas and oceans. Avani, goddess of the earth element, then, Aithne, Goddess of the fire element, Notus, God of the wind element and shadows. Koa, God of nature, Savannah, Goddess of the sun, who is also the moon goddess's twin sister. Last but not least, Selena, Goddess of the moon."

"Okay, so the Moon Goddess just really likes the number 8 then." Lindsay says, "You could say that, ya. Anyway, about the rest of my siblings getting powers of their own, they will, once they are mated and marked, with their true mate. The reason that I have my powers and true aura now is for my body to grow and get used to the amount of power I will have once I have met and mated my mates." I finish explaining.

"Okay enough explaining for now, we need to hit the road or you're going to be late for orientation." My mom says as she hands me a sandwich. "Thanks mamma, but I think that the Bata family needs to feel my aura before we get to the school, because Lilly has already told me that she will not hide her true aura."

"First, what do you mean that your power will grow? Second, how much power do you have now? " Adam asked.

"It can't be that strong, right?" Bata Matthew asked. "You say that now, just wait." My dad said as he pat his shoulder.

"Okay Lilly, let it out girl." I link her,"with pleaser" she responds.

Slowly everyone starts to whimper in pain, while all but Emmett, I still don't know why he is not affected by it. "Okay sweetheart, pull it back in please." My dad whimpers out. "Sorry", I say with a sad smile.

"Okay, you are definitely the moon goddess's granddaughter with that much power pulsating out of you, but I have one question. Why did it not affect you four?" Bata Matthew asks as he points to the triplets and Emmett.

Emmett finally speaks up and says, "We are her guardians." Then walks out the front door, like what he just said explains everything.

"Don't mind him, he's just mad that his wolf just told him that she has four guardians, not one." Lindsay said as she started to help me collect my bags to take them to the SUV that is waiting for us outside. "Avia, what in the moon goddess, do you have in this bag." Lindsay asks as she tries to pick up the duffel bag with my art supplies and books. "The essentials, you know my books and my art supplies, why is that one heavy?" I responded "Why are you bringing your library, you do know they have one at the academy right?" Lindsay asks as she puts the bag back down.

"I asked the same question." Dad says as he walks over and picks it up and walks outside to the vehicles.

The rest of us follow him out of the Alpha family home. Usually the Alpha family would live in the packed house, but my dad wanted more privacy, and also had too many kids for us all to fit on the Alpha floor. So he built a house. It's about a 20 minute walk from the pack house. The house is pretty big, but then again, it needs to be big when you have eight pups to raise. It has the main level, then the top floor and the basement. The basement has the game room, with all different types of consoles and even has a pool table, which is one of my favorite games to play, just not with the boring rules. I play for fun. Then their dad's and my library, which has every and any book you could think of in it. And we can't forget about the movie theater. It has four Luxe Dove Gray Double Chaise couches. The couches have a charging port for your phone and cup holders. In addition to that, it feels like lying on a fluffy cloud. There is a snack and drink bar, with an actual soda and popcorn machine, and a candy station. There is also a bathroom, or more like, it's just a room with just a toilet and sink. On the main level is the kitchen and dining room, which are connected by an open floor plan. The only thing that separates the dining room and kitchen is the prep-table combined with a breakfast bar. To get to the kitchen you have to go past the living room, which takes up the whole front of the house with the front door to the left of the living room, and the stairs leading up stairs to the bedrooms and a set of stairs leading to the basement, and before you enter the kitchen there is a door that takes you to our two car garage. It usually only has mamma and daddy vehicle in it. the front of the house has a porch with a porch swing and a couple of rocking chairs. on the top level were all the bedrooms are, there are ten rooms one for each pup and our parents room plus daddy office for at home. Even though there is a room for each of us, Jessica and Jane still share a room. They had tried to have separate rooms but would end up with one of them going into the other room at some point in the middle of the night. So they just share a room now and the other room has been turned into a study room for all of us pups to do homework, there are eight desk with the latest model of the Apple PC and an Apple iPad. Each of the bedrooms has the same layout with a queen-sized bed in the middle of the room, a night stand on each side of the bed. To the right of the room is a walk-in closet, and in each of the girls' rooms there is a vanity, even though I don't use mine for that, I use it as my art desk. On one side of the bed there is a window with a nook to sit and read or just to look outside. On the other side of the bed, to the left, is a door that leads to a small balcony with a little bench and tea table. On the left wall, it leads to a bathroom with marble flooring and a sink. Even the tub that can fit at least three wolves comfortably is made out of marble. The shower has a temp contort system. It is useful for when a female wolf goes into heat, or if she's pregnant and is having muscle aches. Because of its rain shower head on top, then four high pressure shower heads.

"Earth to Avia, hello are you going to get in or stare at the house all afternoon?" Lindsey asked as she waved her hand in front of my face. I had not realized that I had gotten lost in my head thinking about all the memories of this house. I was going to miss home so much.

"Ya sorry" I responded as I climbed into the very back of the SUV with her.
