Truths Part 2-Chapter 4

As the tears started to fall down Joshua's face, I got up from my seat and walked over to him and hugged him from behind. He hand squeezed my arm and told me "thank you for bringing me back to the light and I had garuds put Gwin in the dungeon until forther notice." I looked up at my mom and used the mindlink to ask her to have the bata family come over for a little bit before we left, and that she needed to make sure that Amber came with her family. She gave me a weird look but then said okay. I was still hugging Josh, so I told him to "take a deep breath, everything is going to be okay, she's your best friend, and it's not your fault that you were under a spell." He pulled me into a side hug and whispered, "You know that your my favorite, right? But I also want to know how you know what I'm freaking out about?" "Of course I'm, but then again, I'm everyone's favorite, and how many times does it have to be said today for you to understand that I have visions of the past, present, and future?" I whispered back to him. "I don't know...." Josh started to say, but the front opened and the Bata family had arrived and started to make their way into the house. Amber was the last one to walk in through the front door. It looked like she did not want to be here, at least in the same room as Josh. I probably would not want to either if I was able to scent my mate but he was unable to scent me. It's been a year and you can see the heart break in her eyes, but it's okay it will be replaced with hope soon enough. Amber finally makes it to the kitchen. The moment that Amber and Josh make eye contact, Josh growls "MINE" and shoves me to the side and is by her side in seconds, kissing her like his life depended on it. I guess in a way it does, with him trying to show her how much he loves her and always has. "Well, I was not expecting that when we walked in here," Bata Matthew said as he took a seat at the breakfast bar. "Just one question, how is it that you now recognize that she's your mate? You both have seen each other around the pack grounds, so what's going on?" "I would be more than happy to explain once someone helps me up from the floor, considering that when Josh threw me I broke my damn wrist." I said from the floor. Mom rushes over, followed by Josh. "Let me see it sweetheart." Mom says, then turns and looks at Josh with an angry look in her eyes when she says, "I get that you can finally claim your mate, but you need to remember your own strength if your going to be tossing your sister like a ragdoll." "First, sorry baby sis, that was not my intention, and second, that was not me that technically threw her. That blame goes to Roland. He kind of took control when Amber walked into the room." "I'll be fine, mom. Hold my hand. Would you please." I said, as mom took my hand in hers. Once I know she has a good grip on my hand, I pull and watch as the bone pops back into places. I looked up at my mom and said "Thanks, it feels so much better." I stood up, and kissed her on the cheek. "Good goddess, I could heal you, you know." Mom growled at me. "What's the fun in that? If only you were able to see your face, you would want to laugh too." I replied with a smile on my face as I walked towards the freezer to grab some ice to help the swelling. "Besides, Lilly has already healed most of it, and I also don't like it when you heal me. Have you ever noticed how much it drains you, but it doesn't when you do anyone else?" "However, before I explain the stuff about the healing, we need to have a discussion about the she-devil that is in our dungeons, and why she is there." I said as i made my way back to my set to try and eat my breakfast. It is probably cold now. Yep, that is cold and gross and soggy. I push my plate away from me and begin telling them everything. From the fact that I'm born from the eighth generation great granddaughter of the moon goddess, to break the spell that was put on Josh. Amber is now crying in Josh's arms, Lindsay is looking at me like, I don't even know how to describe it. It's a mix of being mad that she was never told and curious. Then the room goes quiet.
