Alice slid into her car and was about to start her engine to head home. She felt suffocated by the weight of her grief. She felt dizzy, and her eyes were blurred because of the little alcohol she took. She couldn't possibly call the doctor about this as his words still lingered in her mind: “I'm sorry, Alice. We did everything we could.” Moreover, Henry's motionless and pale state confirmed to her that he wouldn't make it. “How's it possible he's still alive?
