💕 Novel Name : Forced Marriage 💕 Episode 4: Hassan Sahib was not feeling well today, so he returned home early from the office. "Oh! You're home so early today?" Faryal Begum said as she looked at Hassan Sahib. "Yes, Begum. I wasn't feeling very well today. I was feeling weak, and there wasn't much work at the office either, so I came home early." Hassan Sahib replied. "What happened? Are you feeling sick? Did you take your medicine on time?" Faryal Begum asked worriedly. "Begum, I'm fine. Don't worry. A little rest will make me feel better." Hassan Sahib had barely finished speaking when the sound of several cars stopping in the porch echoed through the house. Faryal Begum and Hassan Sahib looked at each other. Worry was clearly visible on Hassan Sahib's face. Just then, Hashir Sahib entered the drawing room, followed by Ariz Khan. Hassan Sahib immediately stood up in surprise. "Brother... you?" The words barely escaped his lips. "Yes, it's us. It seems you're not happy to see us." Hashir Sahib said while looking at Hassan Sahib. Displeasure was clearly visible on Faryal Begum's face, and neither Hashir Sahib nor Ariz Khan failed to notice it. "There's probably no need for us to explain why we're here. And this time, we won't listen to any excuses." Hashir Sahib said firmly. Cold sweat began to form on Hassan Sahib's forehead. "Our trust has been with you all these years, and now we've come to take it back—with dignity and respect." Hashir Sahib declared. The truth was that Hassan Sahib considered his nephew a suitable match for his daughter. However, his daughter was ten years younger than his nephew. Moreover, Faryal Begum did not like their family at all. That was why he kept making excuses. If he agreed to the proposal, Faryal Begum would leave the house. Because of that fear, he had chosen to bear the displeasure of his father and brother. "Look, Brother, we have no relation with you or your family, nor do we wish to have one." Faryal Begum said angrily. "We are not speaking to you. Please remain silent." Hashir Sahib replied sternly. "As for relations, your husband ended them the day he took his share from Baba Sain. We are only here to fulfill the promise we made to our father. We have come to take what belongs to us." "Hoorain is my daughter, and only I have rights over her." Faryal Begum said angrily. "Sister-in-law, you gave us that right yourself—for the sake of your luxurious life." Hashir Sahib replied. Faryal Begum had nothing left to say because deep down she knew he was right. "We have come to set a date for the Nikah. The Nikah will take place first; the rest of the ceremonies can be held later, however you wish." "Brother, my daughter is still young. She's just a child. She doesn't understand these responsibilities yet. You know that marriage is a huge responsibility." Hassan Sahib spoke for the first time during the discussion. "Brother, your daughter is eighteen now. At eighteen, a girl becomes an adult. As for responsibility, a person learns it only when it falls upon them." Throughout the conversation, Ariz Khan remained silent. His eyes were searching for the one who had become both the torment and desire of his heart, but she was nowhere to be seen. "We are not here to seek your permission. We are here to set the date." Hashir Sahib stated. "But Brother—" Before Hassan Sahib could continue, Hashir Sahib raised his hand, stopping him. "On the twelfth, on the blessed day of Friday, we will come for the Nikah." With that, Hashir Sahib stood up, and Ariz rose to his feet as well. Faryal Begum and Hassan Sahib exchanged worried glances. As soon as Hashir Sahib and Ariz stepped outside, they saw Hoorain getting out of her car. The moment Hoorain saw Ariz Khan, she froze. Her hands began trembling uncontrollably. Hashir Sahib stepped forward and gently placed a hand on her head. "How are you, my child?" Hoorain looked at him in surprise. "Mashallah, our daughter-in-law is truly beautiful." Hashir Sahib said before walking toward the car. Ariz Khan looked at Hoorain with a smile in his eyes. "Where were you, sweetheart? I've been desperate to see you for so long. But that's alright. Just a few more days, and you'll be mine forever." Ariz's words sent chills through Hoorain. Cold sweat covered her body despite Islamabad's pleasant weather. Without another word, she ran inside the house. Ariz Khan put on his sunglasses and walked toward his car. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Azmir was sitting in his office, reviewing some work when his phone started ringing. "Hello! Assalamualaikum." A voice came from the speaker. "Wa Alaikum Assalam." Azmir replied in a busy tone. "Sir, the information you asked me to find has been obtained." A voice came from the other side. "Very good." Azmir Khan placed the files aside and focused on the caller. "What information have you found?" "Sir, the lady’s name is Aiza Salman. Mr. Salman is Aiza’s father. He owns a small business. Aiza’s mother is a housewife. The lady has two sisters who are married and live outside Pakistan. Aiza is nineteen years old and she is the youngest among her sisters. I have texted you the rest of the mobile number." "Alright, Farhan! Thank you." Azmir Khan was about to end the call when the voice came again from the speaker. "Sir, there is one more thing." "What?" "Sir, a proposal has come for that girl from one of their relatives." Hearing this, Azmir Khan tightened his grip on the phone. "Hmm." He only gave this short response. "The boy is coming to Pakistan very soon." "Okay, Farhan. Thank you." Azmir Khan ended the call. He stood up restlessly and started pacing back and forth. "No! You are only mine. Only mine." Azmir Khan said in a possessive, almost obsessive tone, picked up his car keys from the table, and left the office. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ As soon as Hoorain ran inside, she saw Hassan Sahib sitting with his head in his hands. Faryal Begum was also sitting there, still angry. "Papa! What happened to you? Are you okay?" Hoorain asked worriedly, stepping closer to Hassan Sahib. "Yes, beta, your father is fine. Go inside and freshen up. I will send you juice." Faryal Begum said, noticing Hoorain’s concern. "Mom, I am fine." "Papa! Mom! Who were those people?" "No one, Hoorain. Go and freshen up." "Mom, they came before as well, didn’t they? Tell me, Papa! Mom! Who were they? Why did they come?" "Beta, they are not good people. That’s all you need to know. We will talk later. Go and rest now." "But Mom..." "Hoorain, go now!" Faryal Begum said firmly. Hoorain left from there. "Faryal Begum, she is still a child. Don’t put such things in her mind." "What are you saying, Hassan Sahib? They want to take my daughter away from me." "They are not taking your daughter away, Begum. She is Arez Khan’s trust, and they have come to take their trust." "What are you saying? Wait... even you..." "No! I will not let this happen. Hoorain is my daughter." "She is not only yours, she is mine too. And what is wrong with Arez Khan? He is handsome, educated, a young man, and most importantly, very wealthy." "Whatever it is, I will not send my daughter there. She is still young and innocent. I have already said yes to Raza for Hoorain." "What?" Hassan Sahib almost jumped from his place. "What are you saying? Are you even in your senses? How can you make such a big decision without asking me? I have always listened to you. I did everything you said. Even now I left my family for you. And you made such a big decision without even consulting me? Didn’t you think it was necessary to ask me?" Hassan Sahib complained. "Hassan, it’s not like that." "It is like that. And I don’t understand what is so special about Raza. In front of Arez Khan, Raza is nothing, neither in personality nor in status." "Hassan, I only said yes to my sister. She will talk to you about the proposal herself." Faryal Begum started crying, and Hassan Sahib softened. "Alright, don’t worry. I will handle something." 💞 Author by Sana Asghar 💞
